Netherlands vs Germany World Cup Final

I’m calling it RIGHT NOW!

Plus it’s my 21st birthday on the same day. Looking forward to pretending that people are celebrating my birthday instead of the outcome of the match.

Oh Germany, I can’t stay mad at you anymore. They are just too good!

Yup.

Good night, sweet prince.

Yesterday was not a good day for the football. First South Korea out and then USA. Needless to say I was not a happy bunny when I heard the news.

Flag change for tonight’s DPR Korea match

Let’s say the North Koreans have it tough tonight when they’re the lowest ranked team in the 2010 World Cup playing against Brazil - the highest ranked team in the 2010 World Cup.

Seeing how we’ve not seen the North Koreans play football outside of their country in over 40 years, it will be interesting to see how they play. I can’t imagine there being that many supporters in the crowd either, seeing how the country is an incredibly strict communist regime that applies such insane travel restrictions on citizens.

Let’s hope the Koreans have something better than two left feet.

Teams I’ll Be Rooting For:
USA: That’s right, because you guys actually deserve a chance. The US were able to reach the quarter finals in 2002 and I’d say their current squad definitely stands a good chance of making it into the second round with England (right?). It’s gonna be tough from there on but I’ll be sure to keep my eye on them and root for one of the underdogs of this sport. And don’t forget: Rivers Cuomo believes in you! That’s gotta count for something guys.
North and South Korea: Nothing would please me more than to see these two teams duke it out in the quarter finals or something. Sadly, both of these teams have it ridiculously tough this year. North Korea is stuck in Group G with Brazil and Portugal (yeah, no chance) pretty much guaranteeing that they’ll be immediately out along with Côte d’Ivoire. South Korea on the other hand has a bit more of a fighting chance with Nigeria and Greece in their group and providing Argentina with three easy games into the second round. Even if we don’t get to see an unlikely battle between the two Republics of Korea, I hope for their success in a European dominated sport.
England: As I’m British, this one’s kind of a give-away. I see no reason why we our country’s team doesn’t have the ability to make it to the second round. From there on (depending who we’re paired up with) it’s a tough call as to how far we can go. England seems to be incredibly hit-and-miss, even when some of the team’s players are considered to be among the greatest footballers of our time. Be sure to stay on form!

Weezer - “Represent”

They recorded this song for Team USA for the World Cup. It’s interesting, I guess.
