YES!!!!!!!! Suddenly summer of 2010 is looking like my summer of 1998.

Further cementing Wii’s status as a nostalgia console.  I own a Wii.  Party at my place.

I’ll be honest and say that I’m highly sceptical of this remake. For starters it’s on the Wii, and for those of you who have played an FPS on Wii will know how bad the controls are for 90% of the FPS games on Wii. Sure there’s a select few that got it right such as Metroid Prime Trilogy, but then again, Metroid Prime didn’t have a controller as horrible as this:

That’s right, the new Goldeneye controller, essentially a golden SMG version of the Wii Zapper. On top of that, the game’s developers Eurocom and n-Space (neither have a history of decent games, mostly porting other developer’s code to alternative platforms) have opted to modernise the original story, including replacing Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig which doesn’t feel right in the slightest, though I’m assuming this is due to licensing issues surrounding the N64 game and the movie.
Hopefully we’ll get some more answers from the E3 expo next week but for now, I’m not gonna get any hopes up.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Comes To Wii This November

As featured on Kotaku.

It only took two years, and it’s being developed by Treyarch (Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World At War) which seem to get a bit of criticism from some parts of the gaming community. But hey, at least they’re truly thinking multi-platform now as well as appealing to those gamers who still haven’t made the leap to HD.
