Client: ”The site is looking great! However, I’m a bit confused. I thought you said the design was done.”
Me: ”Yes sir, the ‘visual’ design is complete. Was there something bothering you about it?”
Client: ”Oh no! The design is great, everyone loves it! However, it doesn’t seem to be finished. There are a bunch of pages that look wrong.”
Me: ”How so? Could you show me?”
[The client proceeds to click through his site and eventually comes to an external link that takes the user to Amazon.com]
Client: ”This page looks nothing like our site.”
Me: ”[somewhat confused] That’s because it’s not your site.”
Client: ”But we just got here from our site. Can’t you make it look like ours?”
Me: ”I’m afraid not. That would be like walking over to your neighbor’s home and re-landscaping their yard and painting their house to match your own.”
Client: ”Oh…well that sucks.”

Your blogs now comes with an optimized iPhone layout!
And a damn nice looking one at that.
This should be a huge improvement when browsing Tumblr blogs from the iPhone — and we’re building similar views for BlackBerry’s, Android, and more. Stay tuned.
If your theme already looks great on mobile devices, you can disable this feature by unchecking Customize → Advanced → Use optimized layout on mobile devices.
I totally beat Tumblr to their own announcement.
And it’s themeable, maybe I’ll make an attempt at a custom theme after my dissertation and coursework are all handed in.
Only just noticed Tumblr staff have now produced an iPhone friendly version of each personal Tumblr page.
Neat stuff guys.
I worry about the quality of your code sometimes Tumblr, I really do.
The fact you actually pass that value on to your payment system is a little odd although I can’t say I’ve tested it so I can’t be sure. I hope to god that’s merely aesthetic purposes but I don’t exactly wanna try and find out either.
And while I’m on the subject, please finish implementing all your features in the API, I’m sure there’s developers on here that would like to try and create third-party software that’s actually half-decent.
KKTHXBYE.
It’s over an hour and 20 minutes long, but the Google Wave preview from Google I/O 2009 is well worth watching. I can’t wait to get my hands on this service. The end was just mindblowing!
Daftologic - The Technologic Soundboard
I was a big fan of the first release of iDaft, which featured samples from Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, but this soundboard is way more technological.

The hours you can kill on this is unbelievable.
Facebook Lite is now live in the United States and India!
For all the Facebook users in the States who are sick of the bloated, over-complicated layout, a new ‘lite’ version of the site has been launched with several improvements.
Just head over to http://lite.facebook.com/ now and try it yourself.
Unfortunately, the service is still unavailable in other countries although should become available to other regions soon.
