Ummm… just got this CD on as I’m typing this, and this is just, the sickest album I’ve heard all year. It is unbelievably impressive, completely gapless, it’s prefectly mixed and if you’ve not listened to it yet, I seriously advise you go get this album, now!
It’s just recognisable song after recognisable song after recognisable song. And the flow between each track is just beautiful.
Bets of all, this album is under a Creative Commons license and is available on a “pay what you want for it” basis, though I recommend if you seriously like it that you put something towards this.
I’m currently jigging away in my chair to a mix of Yael Naim, Eminem, Jimi Hendrix, god it’s moving so fast I’d be typing out a list of artists all day!

Seriously, give this a download and a listen, I’d love to hear other people’s opinions of this.
Oh, and iamnotwolverine, thankyou for introducing me to this album, yet I am extremely jealous you’re seeing this guy live tomorrow night. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy yourself!
Anyway, I should get a move on to my friend’s house as I’m spending my weekend in Stevenage at Sonisphere Festival, well looking forward to it and should be a great weekend.
See you peeps Monday!

So a few things…

iamnotwolverine:

1. I never want a big dog and the more I hang out with Rivers the more I realize how much this video holds true. He’s bigger than I am, meaning, if he doesn’t want to go somewhere fuck it, I can’t move him. If he wants to kill me he could in about 10 seconds. Maybe 8. He steps on my feet and it hurts. That shit shouldn’t happen. I’ll stick with Syddums and Patches. Fo’ lyfe, y’all.

2. Getting locked out of the house and having to climb on the roof, cut open a screen and climb through the window makes me feel badass. Seriously, I love climbing on roofs. We used to climb up on my grandma and pappap’s roof when we were little and run around hahahaha. Not the smartest, but her house was literally half way underground, so we were like, 3 feet from the ground. Whatever. Whenever I have my own house, I will have a rooftop porch or some shit. I have a high deck on my house now, but it’s not the same as a roof. Is that not practical? Who knows.

3. I now have my bed in a loft so I’m going to move my desk underneath and shit.. I’ll take pictures once it’s all cleaned up.

4. Job interview tomorrow. I was talking to Kita about this. I’m very excited to have a real job. I mean, I have a job now, but I work 3 hours a week. I don’t have a whole lot of responsibility, and I just feel like I need to grow up a little bit. I’ll be a hostess/busgirl/whateverneedstobedone-er and I just really hope I like it. I’m a hard worker, and dependable, so I’m sure I’ll be fine. I can’t wait to start saving money. Everything. I will put this in type. I plan on saving everything. From here to the end of summer. We’ll see. Things are going to be hectic with me during the school year trying to balance school, work, internship, and traveling to Connecticut. Wow. I’m kind of nervous about it, actually. I can’t stress out though because then I just go into total anxiety mode and it’s not pretty. blah. Not thinking about it.

al;sdjf;a Now I’m all weirded out. bye!

Whoa, hold on! Hope you don’t mind me asking. Your friend’s dog, Rivers, is he named after Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo? If so, your friend is totally awesome!

Good luck with the job interview! :)

A new (awesome) friend of mine and fellow Big D fan told me to give their new album “Fluent In Stroll” a listen and my god, it is brilliant. So I’m here making a blog entry to personally thank her for the recommendation, this album has really helped me relax this evening.
If you’ve listened to some Big D before, this album has a completely different feel form their other material. The lyrics are all about love and relationships, the overall album has a funky but mellow feel, they’ve dumped their punk roots and spread further into reggae and soul. There’s even female backing vocals throughout the majority of it too. Some favourite tracks, based on the first three listens, are “Doped Up Dollies On A One Way Ticket To Blood”, ”Been Wishing On”, “Fluent In Stroll”, “Down Around Here”, “My Thoughts Take Me Away” and “We Can Live Anywhere!”.
Sure is a summer hit for me, thanks again Sammy :)
