RE: PS3 jailbreak dude who’s been sending me IMs

There’s some guy who’s been messaging me via the IM service on my Tumblr page with regards to jailbreaking PS3s using an iPod (or any P502x IPL/Rockbox-capable device). Just to let you know that someone has produced rockbox.ipod files for the iPod 4G Greyscale and the iPod 4G Photo which can be found here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/567537-post1031.html

Depending on which iPod 4G you have, one of those rockbox.ipod files should work for you just fine.

I also found a utility called RockBox-PSGroove Installer which is also worth looking into: http://rockbox-psgroove.com/

Perhaps I’ll tidy this post up later with regards to jailbreaking PS3s using Rockbox but for now, I’m hoping the information here will help the guy this post is directed at.

NHL 11 Trailer (Xbox 360/PS3)

Wow. If you compare how much this series has come along over the past 5 years (NHL 07 -> NHL 09 -> NHL 11) this is phenomenal improvement for a sports game.

Nice to see EA Canada don’t just plan to put the same game out with an updated roster unlike some of EA’s in-house developers choose to do.

Oh, and this trailer was all direct footage from the game’s built-in replay editor. Very swish stuff.

This happened today:
Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 (Hardened), Xbox 360 and PC, PLUS the Prestige Edition.
For those of you who are curious, the NVGs work really well!
Totally awesome day for gaming.

Sorry my beloved followers for being inactive on Tumblr for the last few days, but I’ve had a brand new game in my possession that goes by the name of Tekken 6.
Lucky for both of us, this game is now 100% compete after completing it 38 times in arcade mode, played through the worst single player campaign you’ve ever seen and kicked enough ass online to warrant the game’s rest on my DVD shelf.
It’s good to be back to reality again. Well, at least until Tuesday, I’ll have Modern Warfare 2 to contend with then ¬_¬
Don’t worry people, I’ll play it in moderation, honest!

Being immobile for Halloween isn’t so bad after all. I’m currently skanking my ass off with Germans to some ska on PlayStation Home…

In a ghost costume!

Who says PlayStation Home is lame? I’m the life of the party here!

Okay, so NHL ‘10 is an absolute blast, the features on offer here are just amazing.
So much online content including simple matchmaking and versus play, shootouts, chat and lobbying, joining online teams and competing in scheduled matches in both EA Sports and custom created leagues, leaderboards, photo and video capture (demonstrated above, loving this goal from Crosby, take that NY Islanders!) with online sharing and even publishing to Facebook/MySpace/Bebo/Blogger, loads of new unlockable equipment to play around with and that’s just the online features.
It also has custom soundtrack support right off the PS3 hard drive, 7 player offline support (with a tonne of pads - I have five already), tutorials, quick play, season mode, a “Be a GM” mode, a play as a pro mode where you play as a single person on a team and control only that player for the entire season, customisable characters and rosters… Hell, you can even create your own mode!
I have to say, I am completely blown away by what’s on offer here. This is a game that will last me the whole year at this rate. I might be struggling for some local multiplayer games as I don’t really have any friends that are interested in hockey, though my housemate Ollie was playing the game for a good 2 hours or so earlier this evening, and two friends sat and watched the Pens Vs Rangers game last week and they absolutely loved it (especially the fight with Godard [I think?]) and would be up for watching another game with me.
My gosh, I’ve turned in three weeks from knowing hardly anything about the sport into a complete addict. What is wrong with me?

So I just bought this for only £32 (≈ $50), not a bad deal to say the least.
dude. your life is over.
this game. well, i have yet to play 10, but this series is phenomenal.

I’m aware of how well-received NHL ‘09 was last year. Hell, it even won sports game of the year from over 12 critics, most of them also made it a nominee for overall game of the year too.
Although ‘10 isn’t as big a refinement as what ‘09 was, it’s still considered an exceptional sports game. I’m looking forward to spending the whole weekend playing it.
