Spent the first part of my evening (although looking out at the daylight, you would assume this is still the afternoon) playing Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssee.
Anyone else remember this game and how insanely difficult it is?

So this is the song from the previous post played and full combo’d on a PlayStation Dual Shock.
Now THIS, IS RIDICULOUS.
Sorry my beloved followers for being inactive on Tumblr for the last few days, but I’ve had a brand new game in my possession that goes by the name of Tekken 6.
Lucky for both of us, this game is now 100% compete after completing it 38 times in arcade mode, played through the worst single player campaign you’ve ever seen and kicked enough ass online to warrant the game’s rest on my DVD shelf.
It’s good to be back to reality again. Well, at least until Tuesday, I’ll have Modern Warfare 2 to contend with then ¬_¬
Don’t worry people, I’ll play it in moderation, honest!
Okay, so NHL ‘10 is an absolute blast, the features on offer here are just amazing.
So much online content including simple matchmaking and versus play, shootouts, chat and lobbying, joining online teams and competing in scheduled matches in both EA Sports and custom created leagues, leaderboards, photo and video capture (demonstrated above, loving this goal from Crosby, take that NY Islanders!) with online sharing and even publishing to Facebook/MySpace/Bebo/Blogger, loads of new unlockable equipment to play around with and that’s just the online features.
It also has custom soundtrack support right off the PS3 hard drive, 7 player offline support (with a tonne of pads - I have five already), tutorials, quick play, season mode, a “Be a GM” mode, a play as a pro mode where you play as a single person on a team and control only that player for the entire season, customisable characters and rosters… Hell, you can even create your own mode!
I have to say, I am completely blown away by what’s on offer here. This is a game that will last me the whole year at this rate. I might be struggling for some local multiplayer games as I don’t really have any friends that are interested in hockey, though my housemate Ollie was playing the game for a good 2 hours or so earlier this evening, and two friends sat and watched the Pens Vs Rangers game last week and they absolutely loved it (especially the fight with Godard [I think?]) and would be up for watching another game with me.
My gosh, I’ve turned in three weeks from knowing hardly anything about the sport into a complete addict. What is wrong with me?
So I just bought this for only £32 (≈ $50), not a bad deal to say the least.
LittleBigPlanet is amazing.
Spent the last few hours messing around building crap, playing through levels, collecting new items and decorating my ‘pod’ with my housemate Ollie.
Also, thanks to Ollie, I now have all of the LittleBigPlanet DLC, including the brand new Watchmen sackboys. The Rorschach costume in particular is unbelievably badass.
GVOYW: First Webcam Edition
Okay, so a slightly different format to GPOYW, the mailman arrived this morning with my brand new PlayStation Eye camera. I quickly jumped out of bed, threw some clothes on, ran downstairs, signed for my post, ripped open the packaging and spent the next hour setting the thing up and messing around. Here’s the first video I ever recorded on it (which was a “Dude, this thing has a freakin’ time lapse mode” video).
Sorry in advance for the lameness of the video and how utterly rough I looked this morning, and yes, by morning I mean afternoon -_-
After getting pissed off with Tony Hawk’s Underground locking up, I went for some Noby Noby Boy action instead and recorded this little video.
If you’ve never played or heard of this game before, don’t ask. It’s the weirdest game I’ve ever played.
