I saw QOTSA on Lullabies to Paralyze in ‘05 and thought they were awesome. Saw them again in ‘08 and thought they were awful. Hopefully they can prove themselves this year. Dizzee Rascal’s a favourite of mine (Boy In The Corner is a classic album). I’ve given Hadouken a chance before and they’re not my cup of tea I’m afraid, sorry! The Midnight Beast I’m unfamiliar with and will therefore give them a chance and since I’d rather die than watch Guns n’ Roses (or should I say Axl Rose act the complete dick that he is), I can guarantee I’ll be watching LCD Soundsystem. Thanks man :)

Last night on the 1 Train heading back to Harlem, a woman sat down next to me and proceeded to tell me how much she hated British people - a response to her now-ex breaking up with her at New Years. At the end, near her stop, she calmed down and apologised and wished me a Happy New Year. I replied “Happy New Year” back. She turned, upon hearing my accent, and screamed FUUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUU before storming off the train. FML

I see money all the time. However, it leaves my possession sooner than I’d like it to, and is usually replaced with food, music or items of clothing that I regret buying the next day.

I wonder what stories my money could tell me, if it could talk.

…And so begins this project.

Every banknote I’m given will eventually form a story, a few sentences at a time. I currently don’t know what I’m going to write yet, but it should be interesting to see what my imagination comes up with. ^_^
This blog and/or my email address will also be written on every note I “deface”, in the hope that someone who receives it will be curious enough to email me about where and when they found it. I’d like to see how far my money has travelled, and how future owners have treated it.

To sum it all up, I’m writing a story… on actual pieces of money. If you see one of my notes, please email glomprammi@glomp.me with what was written on it, and, if possible, a picture. Thank you!

I love you guys hardcore. Seriously this isn’t a drunken post (even if you’d like it to be, sorry to say). Thanks to you, I’ve heard of hundreds of people that I wouldn’t have, I’ve had just as many last minute recommendations for shows and gradually one by one helped me expand my interests, find new venues, meet new friends and grow as a being.

One such friend is Tom, who I just blogged about consecutively, but others such as Carolyn, Sara, the growth of my friendship with Davina and many others along the way astounds me. Each suggestion you guys make, I take seriously. I’m going through Emily’s list, and I paid attention to the Brandi Carlile, and Kevin Devine shout outs (thankfully). I checked out that Allison Weiss girl because of Jenny Owen Youngs, and through her found Lauren Zettler.

One time, Davina was all “Yo, this singer called JOY I told you about is playing at the Camden Enterprise, you should go for me and like take footage or something”, and so I went along and gave her a listen and you know something… well you do. You see me.

Life is great, and I just want to thank everyone who’s suggested, performed, considered themselves a friend or taken the time to acknowledge along the way. When I see you, let me get you a beer or something (unless I see you all in one go in which case I can’t afford that, sorry you guys). Seriously though.

As a thank you that will probably not mean much, here are some photos and videos of things that were awesome for me, and hopefully will be awesome for you.

That’s a rather touching entry, it’s so great to see how the Internet allows people to connect in so many ways. I also need to mention that if it wasn’t for me coming across your tumblelog Jon that I would not have redone mine this afternoon, it made me question the state of my own blog, so thanks. For that, it is me that owes YOU a beer! :-)
