Hey Seagate. Fuck you.
Just had the USB mini-B connector snap off the PCB inside one of your external hard drives. Seeing how you design your enclosures as if Rube Goldberg is your company’s lead product designer, I spend a good 20 minutes Googling my way through various sources of support when I finally reach your customer support forum. Thankfully one guy decided to make a post on how to open your elaborate device but sadly, your support team firmly believes that your customers should not be given the right or the knowledge to opening such devices.
The even more pathetic truth is, it turns out your products really are designed to remain sealed. The enclosure features clips that could only be prised open from the inside, meaning that once they’re clipped down there’s no opening these suckas up.
So once again Seagate, fuck you for being the cherry on top of what has been this utterly shit day.
