Alright, it’s time for my GoldenEye 007 post, i.e. the stuff I’ve been wanting to showcase on Tumblr for the last week or so after reblogging the game’s luscious box art albeit 107 hours late.

Here I present to you folks the pride and joy in my possession that is the first of two copies of GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64. As shown in the second image, you’ll find all four passports have reached 007 status, that is, completing every single mission on 00 Agent difficulty; therefore unlocking a 007 mode allowing you to alter your health, AI response time and their accuracy for each individual mission.

Now some of you would call this pretty sad to say that I’ve devoted so much time to just one game (3 completions for each difficulty difficulty multiplied by 4 passports gives a grand total of 12 completions per cartridge, though the number is a lot higher than that due to numerous repeat playthroughs unaccounted for) and I somewhat see your reasoning that [for some] even the greatest games have their limits.

Thankfully at the opposite end of the morale scale I can quote one individual that this is the ultimate display of masculinity to ever witness. And for that reason alone, this game was worth every spent minute of my childhood, youth and young manhood. It’s just a shame that few women judge one’s masculinity using similar criteria (and to those of you who do, respect).

Enough with the babble, the rest of the photos should do the talking. Only time will tell if I shall hold a second cartridge that parities with the first. If that is ever the case, you know where to find out about it.
