YES! IT’S FINALLY HERE!
It only took a month to arrive! After spending $15 on the CD, $30 on USPS Priority shipping (it was the only option available, I hate you USPS) and then a customs fee of £11.22 (that’s $16.88 for you Americans) which brings this 5-track E.P. to a grand total of $61.88 (or £41.11 in lovely British currency).
Sure, that’s a lot of cash for one CD, but look at how genuinely happy I look. That’s the joy that Julia Nunes’ music brings to my life. Lots.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go listen to this on repeat for the next 6 months.
No really, I do.

A description of last night deserves more time, energy, and eloquence than I am currently capable of tapping into. However, I will say that today was nice. Woke up feeling sick from a combination of kicking Cabes snuggie and my blanket off of me during the night and Fonz opening his window while there’s a fucking blizzard happening. My heads been killing me all day and my throat feels like sandpaper but besides that, I was right as rain. We woke up around 10:30 to 6-8 inches of unplowed snow. Around noon we were fed up with waiting and just decided to risk the drive back to NHT. It took approximately a thousand years but we did it and we did it safely. Cabe’s mom made us pancakes when we got home, which was heaven. We then promptly put on warm clothes and grabbed some blankets before falling asleep on her couch while reading in front of the fire. This is why we are best friends. Around 5:30 we picked Kita up and saw New Moon which I don’t really want to talk about except for the fact we are about 85% sure that the couple behind us were having some sort of sexual interaction (it was a mostly empty theater). The girl was on the guys lap for a good 1/3rd of the movie. It was awesome. Plus, they left about halfway through which made us the only ones in the theater and able to talk about what the hell was happening as loudly as we wanted.

After dropping off Kita and picking up some much needed pizza, we crawled over the shitty ass unsalted streets and watched the last of the Pens game (I miss being able to watch the games on TV sssooo much) and then Star Trek with her parents. I love this family like my own, I really do.

Now Cabe is snoring up a storm beside me while I’m watching CSI: NY and catching up on e-mails. I haven’t checked Tumblr in two days and while it’s nice that I haven’t been on the computer, I’m dreading checking all the updates I missed. It’s to the point that I’m just going to have to go through the blogs I read the most often instead of going through my dashboard. Sorry, guys, if I miss anything. My parents and I are leaving in the morning so I’ll probably catch up on everything tomorrow night while recovering at home.

If anything, this weekend has been amazing simply for being able to be with people I love and that I rarely get to see. It’s cliche and stuff, I guess, but Cabe and I really will be best friends for (if not forever) a long, long, long time. With her going to Denmark in the spring, I’m so grateful I was able to come see her before this awesome adventure she’s about to experience. I’m so proud of her.

Blech. Enough of this. I need to be packing up my stuff for my early morning departure and making Cabe stop snoring, I guess.

This is such an awesome entry. That really does sound like the greatest weekend ever, especially since a Snuggie was involved.

Also, I literally died over how cute the thought of you and Cabe snuggled up in blankets and power napping by a fire must be. Seriously, I can’t handle that.

It seems great though that you’ve been able to take a break from your computer, or should I say your “Internet life” and go out there and enjoy the real deal.

Math Problem of the Day: Nerd love > Any other kind of love.

I did this last semester when we were required to make some of our own equations in Finite for in-class group work. No one in my group got it. I transferred. Coincidence? Perhaps.
I just sat and did this for kicks at my computer. Were they too cool or too nerdy to not get it?
Made me remember how much I <3 algebra. Can’t wait to be back at uni programming away now.
