What A Catch, Donnie - Fall Out Boy

Okay, so I’m not exactly what you’d call a Fall Out Boy fan. I absolutely adore Take This To Your Grave, I personally think it’s one of the finest modern punk albums of our time, but their material after that is pretty weak and obviously filled with mainstream appeal and lacks a lot of their original punk sound.

However, this morning I heard this song from their latest album “Folie à Deux” and I just can’t seem to get the damn song out my head all day (especially the medley towards the end, clever by the way). The song has this epic feeling to it that I’m unable to describe, or at least that’s how I think I’d describe it. Whatever vibe it is I’m getting from this song, I like it.

This still means I’m not fond of the majority of their mainstream material (From Under The Cork Tree onwards), but it does show they can make an odd gem from time to time.

And for that reason (that and the fact there’s no other song at this time I fancy posting) it’s worth using up my audio post of the day.

Wow, never thought I’d say so much about a Fall Out Boy song.
