Repeating last year’s sentiments. FYI I’ve had Primus albums on at work all day, I just played Rick Astley on Rock Band drums and now I’m off to watch some Daria.
Also, this is just a one-off. No interest in using Tumblr on a regular basis. Sorry.
This is to all the single people out there today who might be feeling miserable for not having a partner to share their evening with. Here’s my modern outlook on celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day for me is all about love and on this day I think it’s important to take note about not just the one’s we love but also the things we love and the things we love to do.
So take the evening to sit and think about all the things in the world you love and appreciate so dearly: listen to your most loved albums, watch your most loved movies and TV shows, read your most loved books, play your most loved video games, do the activities you love to do the most, eat your most loved dish, drink your most loved beverage and speak to the people you love the most and tell them how much you appreciate them - your family, friends, co-workers, neighbours, whoever; maybe even plan to hang out together tonight or sometime in the near future like I have.
Remember, don’t let yourself get so down over what some claim to be just a Hallmark holiday, think about how great the world is with all these loved pieces of your life and the impact they’ve had on you.
And finally, have a happy Valentine’s day everyone.
